Karen Sargant - Client Services Director
Started in the food industry in 1989 as QA operative covering Sausage, stuffing and deli products. Karen then moved to a position in product development encompassing a similar product portfolio as well as and bakery (cold Pie) products.
Karen subsequently moved into a process development role covering all the above product groups, eventually progressing to become Quality Assurance Manager in bakery operations.
Karen made a career move in 1998 to become QA manager with a key manufacturer and supplier of cooked & continental meat products supplying major UK retailers.
On the merger and subsequent closure of her employing factory in June 2006, she became a member of the Spec-Tecs team of spec writers and today is Client Services Director for TQS-Spec-Tecs with specific experience in Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda & Morrisons specifications together with extensive experience of the BRC Global Standard and systems requirements for Food Products.
